Steve Ballmer, The Microsoft CEO, has announced that windows 7 beta debut on January 9th Friday. Windows 7 will be available worldwide for everyone to download with a genuine working product key ( product key for MSDN and TechNet subscribers only ).It is confirmed that that build 7000 will be beta version of windows 7. It is already leaked to bittorrent sites (x86 or x64 ) at the time of Christmas.
According to their blog, ( Windows 7 team blog ) windows 7 will be available for download via windows 7 page on their site ( Windows 7 ). This version of windows is going to expire on August 1st, 2009. But the Leaked version expires on July 1st, 2009. So it is not 100% sure than build 7000 is the beta version !!!

The Minimum System configuration:
- Computer with 1 Ghz Processor
- 32 bit or 64 Bit
- 1 GB of System Memory
- At least DirectX 10 Graphics card ( or else DirectX 9 ) with 128 MB Graphics Memory.
- 40 GB of HDD
This version is not supported for Dynamic Updgrades.
Update: The beta is available in English, German, Japanese, Arabic and Hindi (Hindi only 32 bits). Another important piece of information: can be installed the beta on a clean system, or as an upgrade of Windows Vista Service Pack 1.
