Remove IE 8 from Windows 7

The Internet Explorer 8 in Windows 7 can be disabled via Windows Features dialog box. But it removes just the executable file "iexplore.exe" , and further steps are difficult to realize, also IE8 is too deep into the Windows code and removing completely would cause other problems.

Why Microsoft suddenly offers this option ? official statement also missing.

Yesterday Microsoft has released the details of new beta version of 7048 ( confirmed on their own blog) which shows the screenshot of the Windows Feature dialog box.

Firefox 3.1 seems to be Firefox 3.5

Under the Codename "Shiretoko", Mozilla has been working for several months on a Firefox 3.0 followers, with various improvements. Due to the new features, the developers are ready for a new name.

The final version of "Shiretoko" will be released this year only. The next milestone of firefox beta 3 version will be released on 12th march.

Apple introduces the new iMac and Mac mini

Yesterday apple announced new models of Mac Pro, iMac and Mac mini with faster processors and double memory for all of its iMac models with powerful graphics.

The iMac comes with faster Intel core 2 duo processors upto 3.06 Ghz, with new graphics technology Geforce 9400M. According the Apple, the Mac mini consumes less than 13 watts in idle mode. All the iMac and Mac mini models are available with OS X Leopard and iLife'09 shipped.

The iMac family comes with 20-inch iMac with 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 duo processor, 2 GB 1066 Mhz DDR3 RAM, 320 GB SATA HDD and integrated Nvidia Geforce 9400M. The price starts from 1099 euros. The 24 inch iMac from 1399 Euro which has 1920 x 1200 resolution widescreen display, 3.06 Ghz core 2 duo processor, 4 GB 1066 Mhz DDR3 RAM with 640 GB or 1 TB Sata Hard drive and various graphics options like Geforce 9400M , Geforce GT 130 and ATI HD 4850 available.

AMD is the first graphics cards in 40 nm

AMD today announced that two new GPUs, in 40 nm can be produced. Its available in Mobility radeon HD 4830 and the new flaship 4860 .

Thepiratebay is down, not permanently

Various websites reported that The Pirate Bay is down due to the court. There are some roumers that the down was due to "DDos" attack

The website TorrentFreak has dismissed all rumors, and has posted the following statement:
At the moment there is no estimate for when the site will return. The problem can't be fixed remotely we were told. However, people are on their way to the 'secret' location where the Pirate Bay hardware is located to find out what the problem is.


Their trackers are still alive and the downloads are works fine. Hope the problem resolve soon.
