Remove IE 8 from Windows 7

The Internet Explorer 8 in Windows 7 can be disabled via Windows Features dialog box. But it removes just the executable file "iexplore.exe" , and further steps are difficult to realize, also IE8 is too deep into the Windows code and removing completely would cause other problems.

Why Microsoft suddenly offers this option ? official statement also missing.

Yesterday Microsoft has released the details of new beta version of 7048 ( confirmed on their own blog) which shows the screenshot of the Windows Feature dialog box.

This thing continously gives problems. When I go to C drive Programs, find it and try to delete it warns that other programs may not work if it is deleted. I'm not sure if that's bogus or not. What's the best way to get rid of it as it is not working and can't go anywhere on the internet.
