AMD: A good start to the Phenom-II processors

On Thursday, AMD officially launched the Dragon platform into the race.
The most important innovation is the 45 nm II Phenom X4 Processors upto
3. GHz. They previously code named as Deneb. Thanks to the 45 nm
technology and support for DDR3.

The PC manufactures such as HP, Dell XPS are planning to offer AMD Phenom X4 II in the first quarter of 2009. The XPS starts with AMD Phenom X4 II 940 ( 999$ onwards...).

Currently AMD is supporting AM2+ socket with support of DDR2, they have the future idea of AM3 socket with support for DDR3 1333. According to roumers,they are going to release on next year 2010 .

So finally AMD started battle with Intel !!!.
